Getting to Olomouc<\/span><\/div>[vc_column_text]The easiest way to reach Olomouc is by train or by bus. We are located close to two major airports,\u00a0Prague\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Vienna<\/strong>, making access to the city easy from both cities. If you wish to come here through Prague, the simplest way to come to Olomouc is by taking a train from the Prague Main Station (Praha Hlavn\u00ed N\u00e1dra\u017e\u00ed). From there, you can find direct trains to Olomouc from\u00a0Czech National Railways<\/a>,\u00a0RegioJet<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0LeoExpress<\/a>. The journey to Olomouc should take around 2 hours and 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

If you choose to come from Vienna, you can take a bus directly from the airport (Wien, Flughafen Schwechat) with\u00a0RegioJet<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0LeoExpress<\/a>, but you can also take a bus from the city with\u00a0FlixBus<\/a>. You can take a train from Vienna to Olomouc with\u00a0Czech National Railways<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0\u00d6BB<\/a>, but these are routes with a transfer.<\/p>\n

Other cities you can reach Olomouc from are Bratislava, SK (around 3 hours, requires transfer), Krakow, PL (direct train and bus connections, around 6 hours) and Warsaw, PL (around 6 hours). Other cities, such as Berlin and Dresden, are directly connected to Prague by train, making travel to Olomouc easier as well.<\/p>\n

From inside the Czech Republic, Olomouc is also directly connected to other major cities, such as\u00a0Brno<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Ostrava<\/strong>, which can be reached by train and bus.<\/p>\n

The city and its environs<\/span><\/div>[vc_column_text]Olomouc, located right in the heart of Moravia, is a city of about 100,000 inhabitants. Counting numerous squares, parks and churches, the city is a special place of its own, offering the full experience of Czech architecture, nature, food and culture.<\/p>\n

The city is famed for its Holy Trinity Column, a UNESCO World Heritage site from the 18th century in the center of the old town. Its astronomical clock is a unique attraction, built in the 15th century, but reconstructed in 1955 after the war, as a syncretic reflection of its era. Moreover, the city is surrounded by beautiful parks, and Saint Wenceslas Cathedral\u2019s fa\u00e7ade defines Olomouc\u2019s skyline.<\/p>\n

Of course, you can\u2019t talk about the Czech Republic without mentioning its cuisine. Besides the famous beer produced here, Moravia is also the wine region of the country, with a great selection of drinks to accompany the great local cheeses and typical food.<\/p>\n
